Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Kim
Dr. Peter E. Kim is a 2002 graduate of the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery where he received his dental degree. Following dental school, he provided general dental care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. as a Captain and dental officer in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. From 2003 to 2007 he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Walter Reed. He became Assistant Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Moncrief Army Community Hospital at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in 2007 and served there until 2010. In 2010 he became Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the 121st Combat Support Hospital in South Korea, and he served there until 2013. Dr. Kim is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His additional professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Mount Baker District Dental Society, the National Board of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Kim is married with two children, and in his free time he enjoys golf, tennis, bowling, table tennis, chess. He is fluent in Korean.
